Carbon ROM : The Ultimate ROM

Introduction

CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project, released in  2014citation needed. Carbon ROM provides simple ASOP looks but this package is full of additional features, which can your behave like Moto X. Any additional feature can be turned off through settings to save battery or according to your habits, Carbon ROM also provides more RAM then any official ROM or any other ROM.

Feature

All the Carbon Features can Activate from "Carbon Fiber" which comes under settings.

Notification Right at Lock Screen

Now you can access to all notification in lockscreen, it dosent matter if Lockscreen is security protected still all notification can be accessed and removed from both lockscreen and notification bar, just by swiping right to left(default)

Active display is and brilliant feature available on Moto phone, that turns the display on as you take your phone out from your pocket and off it when you put it back, its only downside is it consumes little more battery.


Quick Launch

Navigation bars with add-ons and quick launch is also available which is highly cutomizable,
One can decide shortcut as apps, utilities, contact(single or phonebook), WA direct contact.
One can also chance width, transparency of Navigation Bar and add more buttons to it like screenshot.

Powerful Power Menu

Power menu got a lot of feature just like navigation bar, here too one can add different apps, contact and utility tools, One can also change oder according to him considering looks and utility.


Floating Mode

Ahhh, floating mode this is another thing i love, In Android Kitkat Status bar is accessible all time, floating mode is plus point. You can read full message during a game without leaving the game or Youtube, you just have to pull the notification bar then hold the notification, then click floating mode, it just not only work for messages but anything shown in notification.

RAM and PIE Menu

RAM status can be directly accessed from recent panel and old PIE menu also available here, in which like other one can add app, contact shortcut, change dimensions and colours.

Right now mostly Nightly Builds are available but they are enough stable for daily use, just wonder how much RC gonna be awesome if nighties are SO!!!
Unlocked Bootloader is required

If Your device is not mentioned in official list then,
  1. Goolge This "'Device Name' xda" most probably the first link be of development section.
  2. Find Development section of device
  3. Find Carbon ROM (officail or unofficial build)
  4. Download it
Still Not found the Carbon ROM, bad luck it dosent exit right now for you Device

Unofficial builds are also enough stable, they are just not cooked by official carbon team. Even I am using a unofficial build right now(Xperia SL)
