Micromax - History

Micromax is an Indian mobile manufacture founded in 1991 haveing its Headquarter in Gurgaon,India.
 But the question arriving these days is "Micromax a Indian product or China product with a Indian brand name on it" . The truth is Micromax has begins with manufacturing phone in India but now phones are manufactured at China, that's why when Micromax a116 canvas HD released it was only available online with limited stock soon it will be available in retail store.

Micromax made its debut in 1991, but it only became well know in the recent years. The company entered the India cell phone handset market in march 2008. Within six months  it had a market share of 0.59%. Today Micromax is making cheapest Mobile in India and has established as a reputed brand in India.

Low price - High specs...?

Many Famous well know mobile company manufacture their phone in china but quality is decided by company not china so there is noting to worry about it, but the question is "why micromax have such a low price while all other phones manufacture have high price tag on same spec". 
Do you know that samsungs sells the quad core versions Galaxy in Korea which is their(samsung) home country just at 16,000 INR but when it comes to India a dual core processor cost 21,000 INR, why?, because of taxes and custom duties which samsung has to pay as MNC (multinational company)  from another country...Whereas Micromax is our own MNC sellng in 11 different countries and they also make their phones in Gurgoan ,along with china, in a 5 acre factory (Gurgoan) owned by micromax. Micromax uses a chipset made by a new Taiwanese semiconductor company called mediatek and has a long term contract with them like how apple and samsung has with other semiconductor companies, But mediatek sell it to micromax for cheaper price as they are their top buyer. So overall it is cheaper for micromax so sell their phones in India whereas selling their phones in other countries at a little more higher price just like samsung do.

Problem with Micromax

Micromax build quality is quite good but some user are facing various problems in their phone, every other company mobile user face!!!, but Micromax service center service is not good enough to make their customer happy and solve issue quick as possible, if you will go to a micromax service center they can tell you wait from 1 week to 1 month even more, Micromax have to focus and improve their service quality as they are doing with their product to keep company running!!!
